At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?

My writing

To some point, it will be better if the population of the young people outweigh the population of the old. These countries will no longer worry about their development if the governments make good use of the sources of the young

To the country or the whole nation, we all hope there are more young people contributing to society, and fewer old people need to be taken good care of. Every year, the governments will spend even billions of dollars supporting the old, the elder group is vulnerable and is also an indispensable part of citizens. The young people can reduce the pressure of attending on their old parents, so they have more energy and time to devote themselves to their careers, lots of leisure time will be available for them to do what they authentically want to do. In addition, the future of a country or a nation belongs to the young, more young people can promote the prosperity of the economy, culture, politics and so forth.

There are many disadvantages as well, at first, the governments should have the ability to satisfy the employment, if not, the problems among the young can cause a series of social reactions. For example, the high unemployment rates can lead to lower living standards, the young people have to make a living, but the reality is that they suffered hunger and poverty, they may find it hard to realize their dreams, some young people may go the extremes, they may try to steal or rob something and even use violence to deal with conflicts. It’s hard to imagine what the society will be if tings get much worse.

However, I believe the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages from the beginning to the end, the young are generations of being full of energy in general, the future of their motherland is filled of endless possibilities to get  better than before, they may work miracles.
